AGIOS GIORGIOS

This beach is also on the island of Ammouliani on the side facing Ouranoupolis and is accessible by both car from the village or by boat.

If you decide to go by car from the village, you will see a lot of other smaller beaches along the way. You may also find a lot of them around the group of small islands surrounding Ammouliani.
For all of them, you will of course need a boat but it’s well worth the effort and an unforgettable adventure!
You will find a lot of cafes and taverns scattered in this area.

The beach has been awarded a blue flag. This means that the water is checked twice per month from the Hellenic Ministry for the Environment Physical Planning and Public Works and the results are hanged on the information table of the beach.

DRENIA BEACH

The locals call this area Gaidouronisia (donkey islands) and it’s a gathering of small islands just under 2 miles off the coast of Ouranoupolis and Ammouliani.
You may go there by renting a boat from Ouranoupolis or Kamboudi. (no license needed).

Another way of  reaching the Drenia islands is by the kaiki boats which leave from the main harbour (in front of the Tower) of Ouranoupolis starting at 10:00 am and every hour until 18:00 pm daily.

There is a lovely tavern awaiting you.
